I admit that I am surprised, but if they can make it stick, this might win some subs for them. It should be noted that when Verizon dropped the Unlimited Plan (with AT&T and T-Mobile following their lead the same day) Sprint claimed it was not going to match. Next week they dropped Simply Everything. (Exceeding is not matching I suppose) I still think they should go foe Unlimited Talk for $60 and Unlimited Talk and Text for $70 but they're not listening to me.
...
Sprint did NOT drop the simply Everything plan..they expanded it to include free mobile to mobile to every cell phone in the country..
T-Mobile,att and Verizon also haven't dropped their unlimited plans. Where do you get your info?
...
*Groan* 'Dropped' as in launched. Oh brother!
...
Ah, so when I dropped a call I really launched a call. In my 20 years of selling phones I have never heard such foolishness. I didn't realize there were so many high school dropouts out there..
...
Watch out, people might think you mean 'dropouts' as people enrolling in school. ๐คฃ
...
Okay... you guys must not get out too often or socialize. ๐คจ Drop is a slang term for debut, present itself, or . The context the poster uses it in is correct. Many others actually use this term on a daily basis in casual conversation.
sheesh, forum nerds ๐
...
It wasn't clear in his context. When I hear Sprint is going to drop their everything plan I would assume they are getting rid of it. Might be common slang with the high schoolers but still improper English.
...
Nice insult. I hope you feel better now.

What can you expect? we're discussing sprint. It's bound to draw certain posters.
(just like mentioning "iphone" or "att" or "verizon" will summon their own brands of trolls)
...
Yeah. I know some people called him an unflattering name for not using reading comprehension and maybe that set him off but it wasn't me. I certainly prefer to have a decent discussion here so when someone with purportedly twenty years in the business stoops to that level...I am disappointed.

I'm convinced that working more than 5 years in a customer service industry (especially anything sales related) will lead to brain damage by customer. ๐

I had ten! That explains the nightmares selling phones in my sleep that I still have.

So you wouldn't ever hear someone say, "hey check out this new phone, it just dropped yesterday?"
Or..
"I can't wait for that movie to come out on blueray, when does it drop?"
...
Right, not proper English or proper use of the word. I spent 15 years as a journalist before investing in my cellphone shop. I am amazed on a daily basis at the lack of language skills people have today.
...
Whatever, get over it. I personally have heard the word be used in such sentences quite a bit...its nothing new. But why keep getting hurt or insulting a person's intelligence over it. So Childish.
...
Ihr,
I don't mind the occasional typo or misspelled word, we all do that, but I do agree with you on skills, sometimes, I have no idea whatsoever what some people post.
...
Twenty years selling phones huh? Very impressive... Also explains why you wouldn't understand "dropped" I suppose. You're old.
...
LOL. My thinking exactly.

I was looking for a serious post about this but, everything is half mixed comments. I just want to say that this is a Great Title. This is a Great PR Move. As long as Sprint stands by this, this is basically a direct attack at Verizon. I luv it. "Bring It Big Red" says Sprint as it cracks its knuckles. lol.
No seriously, this is a GREAT PR MOVE!
