Ha! Yup. Sprint can't afford to pull a Verizon and raise their ETF's. They're bleeding customers as it is and to piss off any new potential customers would be suicide.

VZW is having to subsidize more costly devices right? Plus they are pushing for 4G so they might need to keep prices kinda high.

I just want to see the att press release.

they also typically discount their phones less and their ETF is already 200 (25 more)

Wow you're not up on current events I have refrained from posting their horrendous 3 quarter numbers in the sprint forum. Just in case you were wondering they sucked balls again!

Just Like T-Mobile.

They were worried so much about the coverage perception that they dropped a bunch of money (not lost or anything they dropped it maybe on the table of advertisers or something 🙂 ) and should have spent more of that money on coverage and 3g. Besides dropping money on PR what have they spent on the root of the old perception. Outsourced Call Centers may be gone but the crappy pay they give the new Call Center employees just breeds a Jack In The Box atmosphere.

No kidding. Sprint has the best phone discounts and lowest plan prices of the top 3 and still 5 times better 3g coverage than att.

By bigger things to worry about I think he meant the overall health of the company. Best plans and more 3G coverage aside, Sprint has had issues that it's had to work through for years

I know. Seems like Mr Hesse has done a good job of getting the system and customer service up to par but once you have a bad reputation, there's not much you can do to get it back. The perception of Sprint is not good in a lot of peoples eyes even though it runs pretty smoothly now. There was a time I considered dropping them from my lineup..now they are my best seller..

They might be at the retail stores. I sell them all and Sprint is a deal, Best buy also. I did have a guy buy a Verizon phone awhile back because Verizon was offering free activation that weekend and the phone he wanted was $20 cheaper than Sprint. What I tried to get across to him was even if he was saving at the time of purchase his monthly bill was going to be $60 A MONTH higher on Verizon, $720 a year. Oh well, I made more money switching him..I just didn't want to deal with eroes..
