T-Mobile USA Experiencing Problems.......period!

With its horrible coverage they try to sugar-coat it with so many excuses. "Oh it's not in our budget", "our engineers determined already sufficient coverage in that area"
Go away from an urban populated area, no coverage. Might as well get MetroPCS.

Personally, I think T's coverage is just fine. Why would I need coverage in -INSERT RURAL AREA HERE- if I don't go there? If I start going to -INSERT RURAL AREA HERE-, then maybe it's time to start looking for a company who provides service in that area.

If it's not what you need, then find something else.

That's not a good logic: "Why would I need coverage in -INSERT RURAL AREA HERE- if I don't go there?" What if you end up there for work or by accident, or on your way somewhere and passing through that area and your car breaks down, or you get into an accident? If I'm paying money to a company for wireless service, I want them to have coverage in places I go to, either deliberately or by accident.

So you're saying that we all should be using satellite phones? Even Verizon doesn't have coverage everywhere.

It was funny, my buddy used to brag about his Verizon service and how great the coverage was. But on his way home from work, he'd call me and the calls would get cut off cause he would go through a dead zone. What the hell was he paying for if he didn't have coverage on his daily drive?!

I never drop calls, I have coverage WHERE I need it, I don't "accidently" end up in places where I wouldn't have coverage, and AT&T has comparable coverage to Verizon so if I accidently get kidnapped and taken out to BFE cause the bad guys know T-Mobile doesn't have coverage there and they leave me with my cell phone, who's the joke on? Them! Cause I'd be able to use AT$T's (or another GSM) network to make a call.

Whoa... roaming is a great thing, isn...

2 problems with that statement. First off, Verizon has a larger voice and data coverage map than any GSM carrier period. Second, AT&T and Verizon share the exact same rate plans. I guarantee you that if you compare a Verizon rate brochure side by side to an AT&T brochure they will both contain the same minute plans for the same prices. The only difference is one is red and the other is blue/orange.
Lastly, I don't know where you live, but the past several markets I've lived in, AT&T has been considered the worst of the major four.

So, my point is that why do I need to pay higher rates for something that I won't use and have never had to use?

You don't have to. You get what you pay for. So, why exactly do you have T-Mobile? Based off what you have been saying, you don't leave the area much and have no intentions on leaving the area, right? So why exactly do you have a Nation Wide plan with T-Mobile? Why are you paying for T-Mobiles services that you don't use?

Why don't you go with a local company? Metro? Immix? Cricket? You would save a lot more money and get the services in your area and only in your area like you want.

Yet, you say you don't need services in areas you don't visit and you dare say you wont e...

Why do I have a nationwide plan with T-Mobile? I travel. I go to LA, Vegas, Phoenix. And I usually drive. Funny thing, I have coverage 99 percent of the way. If I decided to drive off the highway into the middle of nowhere, then T-Mobile (or Verizon, ATT, etc) may or may not have coverage. And if I'm going to be doing that, then maybe T-Mobile isn't necessarily the best company for me and I should consider going with a company who might have service in those areas.

When did I say I wanted crappy service? If I wanted crappy service, I would take your advice and go with a company such as Cricket.

And who uses a service where they drive to the other side of town and "roam"?? I sure don't. And I would never use a provider like that.

I totally agree with you. Except with MetroPCS, once you leave the downtown of the urban populated area, no or ****ty coverage.

T-Mobile is losing the grip they once might have had.

Where I live (Hawaii) any carrier is left with no excuse for coverage issues. One of my clients provides setup and maintenance for cell sites across the island and they can testify to the fact that T-mobile spends the 'least' on their sites. I'm not unrealistically expecting a perfect network with coverage everywhere. I just hate paying for this mediocre crap that fails so often in comparison to the competition. The 3G map in Honolulu is so over exaggerated because it constantly drops in and out of 3G throughout the 'covered' areas.
