AT&T Sues Verizon for 'Map for That' Ads
apparently ATT is scared
what ATT is trying to do is denounce (all be it anecdotally) Verizon's dominion over the whole ordeal.
it's kind of like having two siblings, that are both fighting to be the "#1 child"
the irony here is that VERIZON already has that title, and ATT is whining about it.
there is NO way this lawsuit can go anywhere. the entire ad states "3G" coverage. nothing to do with voice coverage.
ATT is sad. it's true, they know their 3G network sucks in comparison. hell I think T-Mobile's 3G network is almost if not larger by now then ATT...
what you really need to take from this is three things
#1. - att is scared because they see that Verizon has come up with a creative way to denounce their reign.
#2. Verizon is smart because they need to show how they differ from their competition,
and lastly
#3. The droid is the first device that has ATT scared about their smartphone marketshare with that "I" device that is starting to finally fade. and att doesn't know what to do about it.
GO VERIZON.
weither or not I think ATT sucks is irrelevant, what matters is what people take away from it. and if ATT is mad that verizon is calling them out, well then they better do something productive about it, and not sue a company for the truth.
