QChat not iDEN, right???

just to clarify... the linked news release implies this expansion of Nextel DirectConnect service is of the EVDO Rev. A based, QChat variety... not the iDEN kind.

if you click on the "more info at Sprint Nextel" link, there is no mention of the iDEN (Nextel National) network.

the only mention of iDEN is on the phonescoop summary.

well then that is great news. hopefully that means that sprint is not gonna abandon qchat and maybe put out some more phones!
