companies would stop laying off thousands of people when they decide to reorganize their business units. Those 4,500 to 5,800 people who would be laid off could be reassigned to other jobs in the business units that are being created.

Would you prefer that they continue to bleed money so that everyone looses their job? Employment is always wonderful, but a sustainable job is even better and the sooner one learns that ones job is unsustainable the better off they are to go find another job. This is probably one of those unfortunate cases where there were too many redundant positions.

Had they been doing market analysis and watching industry trends, that would have done this a lot sooner, at lower cost, and would not have to let so many people go. But no, they had to pay their greedy CEO's milions of dollars in compensation and bonuses so that these lazy bastards could sit behind their desks in their corners offices and fart into their leather chairs and not do **** all day.
