T-Mobile USA Joins.......

T-Mobile USA should first join the "coverage" alliance before venturing into other fields. Being the first GSM carrier in the US and to let another former TDMA now GSM and a CDMA carrier overtake them so quickly is embarrassing. 🙄

I completely agree. T-mobile needs to be honest with itself and their customers. Its 3G network footprint is embarasing and they should probably not advertise a 'nationwide' 3G network. Going on their current rate of expansion, the earliest they would have a 'nationwide' 3g comparable to say AT&T or sprint will likely not occur until 2011-2012. I also question their current philosophy of 4G network expansion in LTE. It doesn't make any sense considering they only have a small fraction of their 3g network up and running. I have heard that this latest push is just a plan to increase their stock prices before announcing their intentions to sell in about 1yr time. We'll have to see if thats true or not, but it does sound reasonable.

I cant see T-Mobile selling off yet. They haven't "lost" customers. Which to me means they haven't "lost" money. They might not be making as much as the others, but, hey, as long as its not a loss, money of any amount, if the profit is greater then the losses, you win.

The whole boosting up stock prices thing sounds like a good theory though. Lets suppose your right. Lets suppose however, that they are not boosting stocks to sell. What would be another reason then?

As for 3G, T-Mobile needs to pretty much give up 3G at this point. In my opinion. They should focus Solly on 4G and LTE. They should have focused on this long before Verizon and Sprint released their 4G. This would have set them apart and back into the game. As of right now,...

Agreed, T-Mo users need to be in a WI-FI spot to use their feature rich phones. The line up is not bad, If I were looking for a cheap plan, I think I would still take Sprint above T-Mobile, at least they have a 3G map.
