Why are there no Sprint PDA phones with Direct Connect Qchat? Why??????????? If the Pre had Direct connect it would be awesome. Why no CDMA Sprint PDA phones with PTT? WHY not a Blackberry with PTT???????????????

So essentially BGR said that same thing I did, that the Pre and Hero should help stabilize Sprint. But I didn't go as far as using the word "gains". Gonna be a while longer still before that happens, could be quite a while. The way the economy is, flocks of people might go to these cheaper options that are available from as the article said Boost, and Metro and Cricket I think will see a lot of gains in the next 12 months.

Sprint hasn't seen a quarterly net gain in subscribers in 2 years and they're still bleeding customers and losing money.

Well, I guess one thing that has helped them to prevent going off the edge is they sold they're network right? They don't actually operate it anymore. Plus Boost is doing very, very well, as well as Virgin. It is amazing though that Sprint can introduce a plan such as Unlimited Everything, and yet even that still doesn't help them!!! Even the Pre & Hero isn't helping them, well, at least not as much as they need it to. Well, we'll see what next year brings when they start having WiMAX smartphones, see if that helps at all.

Jay, you obviously misunderstand bankruptcy -- a situation in which an entity's debts outweigh its assets or its ability to satisfy those debts. Sprint is not even close to bankruptcy, as Sprint's licensed spectrum alone is worth tens of billions of dollars.

Additionally, the originator of this thread, cellfoneluva -- a name which suggests a young imbecile -- repeatedly brings nothing constructive to the table, rather just carries a grudge against Sprint.

AJ, We had a discussion a while back that I just saw the response you gave to. I said I would accept public humiliation and yada yada yada. I appreciate the response. I forgot to check the thread after I made that statement and even though the examples I gave were used as argument, I do enjoy a bit of rebuttal for just the sake of debating. Hats off to you for knowing your stuff and taking the time to offer an opposition. I probably should respond to that thread specifically but this is just as good. hopefully....

I am not an inherently antagonistic person. I just want people to seek truth -- or, at least, greater insight. Such makes us all more knowledgeable.

From a media and news point of view, Sprint is indeed suffering. It always appears that their(Sprint's) accomplishments get lost in the stream of negative exposure. The media can be the most powerful figure for people in determining a direction or trend of events.

I have contended all the long that Sprint is on a very aggressive path to rebuild their respective position it once held in the industry, but a cycle of historical human trend is taking part.
I had claimed in an earlier post on another subject that People will hang out at a certain club simply because that is where everyone else hangs out. They want to be part of the "in" crowd.

Its because he is getting more cash flow from Boost & Virgin(I dont if he getting something from them), so its the reason that you dont see him affected.

Also all the Sprint customers who are going Prepaid, they are all going over them so ,technically , in Hesse terms, he is not losing customers.

Yeah, it seems to me as though Sprint is the only company that encouraged using a phone to tether, they're actually the ones who came up with the name "PAM" Phone As Modem.

Sure others offer it, but I'm just saying Sprint actually came up with a name for it other than just tethering.

Personally I don't believe in paying for tethering, I'm sure you know that though, as far as I'm concerned if I'm already paying for a data plan enough is enough!!!

The no tethering rule is one of the dumbest things Sprint has ever done. The vast majority of customers that I come into contact with that are dropping are doing so for one of two reasons. First, (and this is by far in the lead) they want an iPhone. Second, they want tethering and the Everything Data plans that Sprint requires with the Hero, Pre, and Instinct won't allow you to set it up, no matter how much you're willing to pay.

The notion of a connection card is great, unless you're one of the people that only needs the capability from time to time. Why pay $59.99 a month when you could pay the extra tethering fee only when you actually need the service?

If you have the simply everything then Sprint gives you the connection card plan for 50.00 a month...

But yes it would be advantagious to allow teathering even if they capped the teathering at 5 gig or some such.
