If the Iphone was orginally CDMA only, would people still have the same problems for the Iphone not being a global phone as they are having with the Droid not being a global phone.
Plus it does suck that there are no GSM radio's bc I would have picked up an unlocked version

Even if they'd made a CDMA iPhone, Apple would have also likely produced a GSM one for the international market. Whether they would have included 850/1900 on the GSM model, would be the question.
The real point is that you don't base an ad campaign around what the iPhone doesn't do with a phone that lacks a pretty important feature you've included in other phones.

Exactly. The Droid DOESN'T work in Europe. Even last year's iphone killer, the Storm works on GSM 800/900/1800/1900.
