Motorola and Verizon Wireless Announce the Droid
iPhone
The iPhone is just so conceded, it hasn't realized; and its nap by the tree has let the others pass it by and win the race.
Sincerely,
The Droid.
Luckily I'm up for NE2 through VZW, so I'll most likely be pre-ordering this one or ordering it on the 6th. Looking forward to the reviews.
Nothing compares to iphones except for a new and better iphone.
I have used them all.
The iphone has an all around good device.
AS far as multitasking, push notification is pretty much the same, cause you still have to open things onto screen one at a time.
PLus the battery in iphone is still way better then winmobile, blackberry or android.
Nice try though, it is a nice device the droid. But people will not ditch the iphone for it.
Doesn't it cost you $10 for Push Email? A feature BB's offer essentially for FREE.
The iPhone is a overall "decent" device.
As far as ditching the iPhone for another phone and iPhone sales going up 7%.... How many of those 7% are using the iPhone on a different network? Never mind that, its not important; people have already started to ditch the iPhone. Its a lot like Rap. You can deny it all you want, but in the end, its dying.
THere is finally some GOOD competition.
But iphone is still number 1
blackberry number 2
maybe android # 3
Windows mobile is like 50th so laggy

The fact that I can plug ANY phone with a SD card into ANY computer and take ANY content I want and save it to my SD card, makes ANY phone with a SD card better then a iPhone in my opinion. Unlike the iPhone, I (and those within my circle) dont need iTunes installed to transfer any type of data. Drag & Drop will triumph the iTunes process any day.
Now, thats just my opinion. I also believe the only thing the iPhone has going for itself is the iTunes set up and its simple design. Sadly however, as I mentione...

I do have to agree that the Droid is not a threat to the iPhone, or even a BB Storm 2.
Droid does...not look like a contender.
Get yourself a Ipod Touch. Thats a iPhone without a Camera and without calling. Thats what I had before the iPhone. I rather have my Ipod Touch. The battery lasted longer and it was thinner then the iPhone.
Anyway, my only point is, we dont realize what it is we want until we have it or lose it.
This phone/OS has huge potential and will only get better. The only phone with more apps is the iPhone, which is another reason I'm moving to the Droid. With the release of Droid 2.0 and its DSK, and all these new devices coming next year, I can only see the number of apps increasing.
