Cellular South to Buy Corr Wireless

This is dumb... Cell South sucks in MS as it is for the most part, and Corr is a GSM network...

Not so much. In door service is horrible at best. I go to MS every other week. Verizon use to roam off of Cell South. Some areas are good, but over all its poor. Its because they use PCS only.

I have a great amount of experience in Mississippi with friends and family in Jackson, Gulfport, Columbus, Meridian, Biloxi, Gautier, Noxapater... I also worked for Alltel and Verizon and I know that even before Alltel bought out CenturyTel and Verizon bought out Alltel I was getting better coverage via Cell South. I used to program the cell South SIDs in our phones to keep the phone from searching for a VZW tower (especially when all they had was 4160 which is PCS and more importantly crap). Before the Alltel buyout Gulf Coast was PCS and the built out Jackson which was PCS and horrible. At least getting Alltel did give them some 850mZh which is wonderful. My opinion still stands and it is not from a drive or two into Mississippi eithe...

Jackson north sucks realy bad. With Verizons 850 from Alltel and Unicel its solid now. Verizon is now working on North East MS which is where 1900 PCS Unicel and 850 Alltel overlap. I am hoping Verizon will move Unicel sites around and add 850 to them, but who knows. Time will tell.

i live in south ms, CS has the best coverage out here and is pretty much what everyone over 50 has.
