I am so envious. I know it will be years before they bring it to the back woods where I live.

If it is all possible Jay, I would appreciate you throttling back on any WiMAX bragging as I am already jealous. You are experiencing something the rest of us on PS probably are not you Bsatard. 😁

For about 6 months. Even though Philly has Clear now I may wait to see how Verizon's LTE footprint and pricing will be.

If you wait for Verizon you will be waiting till 4Q 10 or first part 2011. You can also bet Verizon will cap their data as their buildout will not be ready for the traffic. AT@T...as alway, way behind.

I was sick of waiting fo TRUE mobile broadband speeds from ATT 3G, I was sick of waiting for HSPA 7.2, definetly wasn't going to wait for HSPA+, so that's why I became a Clear customer. I was sick of waiting for the kinds of speeds that I felt we should be able to get 2.5 months shy of 2010. No more waiting for me!

Another thing is Clear is a really, really good value, until the end of the month they're offering both Home & Mobile for $50/mo, in your wildest dreams you wouldn't realisticly hope of Verizon offering such bargain deals. Verizon isn't exactly know to be a company that offers deals. I'd be absolutly shocked if I'd be able to get the same 4G from Verizon that I'm currently paying Clear for Unlimited Mobile $40/mo, that's right, I just said unlimited!!! $40/mo is very, very reasonable, it's $20 less a month they're ATT's shameful speeds and ATT has an evil worthless 5GB data limit.

One benefit Verizon will have over Clear is I'm sure Verizon's 4G will penetrate buildings much, much better than Clear due to Verizon owning the 700mhz band. I'm speaking as a Clear customer btw, outside I get well above 5mbps, whereas inside where I live I'm lucky to even hit 5mbps, most of the time 2.5mbps range inside the house I live in.

Don't forget Verizon isn't all that far away from launching their 4G network at least in some cities initially.
