I mean since it has GSM radios, does anyone know if that is possible right out of the box or does it require some sort of IMEI unlocking?

You will have to "unlock" the phone for it to take a T-Mobile SIM card.

The catch may be that you won't have US 3G. They have unlocked Storms and gotten them working on AT&T also.

I see people all the time coming into my store with a Storm unlocked with T-Mobile on it. The funny part about it is that the internet says "T-zone" it always makes me laugh because they tell me that the internet is slow and the phone won't work in my store. Not a T-Mobile hater by any means but man don't you think you could have taken all that money you blew for the Full Price Storm and Right Fitted Yourself with some coverage! Anyways you might want to hold your breath on the Storm 2 because they just delayed it indefinitely.......

None of the t-mobile blackberrys run 3g anyway.. They all run EDGE at the current moment. So ofcoarse their internet would be slow, its the same slow you get with an 8900 or an 8520...

Nope...Late October or early November at the latest. Dummy phones are out in the stores, Best buy has the accessories, reps have been going through their trainings on the device. It's definitely coming and not indefinitely delayed 😁

Are the accessories that are compatible with the BB Storm 2 that different from the first Storm?

I know the dock isn't compatible and probably the silicone skins too. I am almost positive the power cords and car chargers are though.
