$45 unlimited everything- not bad

i was never a fan of trackphones but the unlimited p
lan for 45 is a good deal. So now we have boost unlimited for 50, pageplus for 40, revol for 35, and trakphone for 45. I guess these mnvos are going to place a certain amount of pressure on their parent companies to drive prices down. It also is steals the spot light fromtmobile black secret 50 unlimited and att 60 prepaid unlimited (voice and data)

AT&T's $60 prepaid plan does not include data. It's just voice and messaging.

You don't need a large roaming footprint or customer support. I worked at Radioshack for a few years, and after spending hours on hold just to get to someone in India who may or may not be able to help, we stopped offering any after-the-sale support on Tracfone.

But hey, it's not a bad deal, but you do get what you pay for.

I just talk people into gophones at that point. after you explain you only get 10 cents a min when you spend MORE money, they listened. It's mostly crackheads and hookers who buy Cracfones anyway

It puts no pressure. You know why? because as soon as that customer has to call in about anything, they'll figure out why service is so cheap.

Customers want cheap prices and good service. you don't get that with Tracphone.

You might not get both, but you do get cheap prices. A lot of customers today have learned to settle. This is great for those who chose to.

I agree totally with asleeplessman's statement. I don't think customer support is as important in a case where you're not locked into a contract and your on an inexpensive plan. If you don't like it, port your number out to another telecom, no ETFs, no questions asked.

Which is the whole point of prepaid phones and plans. People don't want to be locked in. If or when things get bad on any level, they can walk away without penalty and more importantly, they can return whenever they want.

they might "settle" but they'll gripe about it every chance they get.

I used to get a TON of tracphone customers in my store trying to get me to figure out their phones for them. They got all huffy when I said it would cost them,

Isn't that the case with Life in general? Whenever we settle, we are not 100% happy. Then we complain about the costs to make what we settled into something we actually wanted.

the problem is that for some reason, people think that because they have a cellphone, they are entitled to my help because I sell cellphones (Verizon). If people took the cut to customer service in order to get the cheaper price, I wouldn't have as much of an issue with it.

But when you stop doing business with me and still want service from me (for free). There is a problem.

I think its a "It wont hurt to try" mentality. Sure they didn't get service from you but maybe, just maybe, you'll help them solve a problem anyway. I mean, after all, it wouldn't hurt to try.

Lol! I am not justifying it, just trying to give it reason I guess. :/ 🙂 lol.
