O.K. so I went to the link to read up on this offer myself to see if there was any small print.
I do not work with prepaid at all and I am not as familiar as I probably should be with it.
So when I read the "small print" that I found, I was a bit confused. So if any one can elaborate I would appreciate it.
The article stated:
1Simple Rate plan required for Monthly Unlimited Talk & Text Feature Package. Feature package available for 30 days as long as your account balance is not expired. Standard rates apply if feature package is not renewed after 30 days. See rate plan brochure for details. A complete list of the countries with unlimited text messaging is available at att.com/gophoneintlText.

So, does that mean after 30 days if you...

The coverage is beatable.

Verizon and sprint both have you beat in rural coverage.

Not trying to start a flame war, but with several plans already sub 60 giving everything (page plus, metro, boost, etc) saying 60 is the best in the industry is a bit much.

It's like me saying verizon has the coolest phones. 😎

Well you started it.

MetroPCS is regional not national. Boost and all other CDMAs die in my area, no coverage at all.

I'm not saying it's best for everyone. There are some areas where att offers the best coverage. But as a whole, their coverage is not "the best"

Wrong. MetroPCS offers nationwide roaming now. In fact, MetroPCS w/ TravelTalk coverage appears to equal or exceed AT&T GSM coverage:

So, what is your point? Because there is no CDMA coverage in your little pinpoint on the map, then AT&T GSM coverage is better than domestic CDMA coverage overall?

If so, that is a terribly flawed argument. First, you cannot logically establish an affirmative conclusion from a negative premise. Second, your area is not representative of the country as a wh...

"WOW," did you even view the linked map? Did you compare it to AT&T's coverage map? Are you aware that CDMA has significantly greater coverage in North America than does GSM? Or do you get all your coverage information from AT&T TV commercials?

Do not call me an idiot. You just reflect yourself and your own dearth of knowledge & intelligence.

On the first count, okay, you admit that I am correct. MetroPCS native + roaming CDMA coverage roughly equals or exceeds AT&T native + roaming GSM coverage.

On the second count, no, you are not even close. I am not even remotely connected to MetroPCS. I have worked as an independent wireless researcher.

So, bring some factual information to the table, as I do repeatedly. Then, you might have some credibility. Otherwise, just keep quiet, read, and learn. Absent your misinformation, this forum contains more than enough ill informed fantasy already.

Ah, you are very much mistaken my friend. you see, according to a study done by the People's Republic of Tennessee, AT&T has the best coverage nationwide, including 3G! Verizon, on the other hand, has all those dead zones, and they are anti-union, not to mention, they outsource ALL of their call centers to foreign lands like Wyoming where they don't even believe in Jesus!

WOW! Can't we all just stop the HATE!!!

The AT&T and VZW battles will wage on till the end of time... unless one buys the other out...

The battles are as epic as Chevy and Ford! Honda and Toyota! The Alliance and the Horde!

Cut me and I'll bleed out AT&T BLUE BLOOD... but I gotta give credit where credit is due! VZW wins out in the heartland. AT&T edges them on the coasts! It's all debatable!!! Obviously I believe in Brand Loyalty but this thread is about a new AT&T offering. UNLIMITED TALK and MESSAGING for prepaid customers at $60.00 per month. This is a NATIONWIDE offering from AT&T. Does VERIZON offer this??? NO!!!! Let's not talk about SPRINT and T-MOBILE... okay... the grown-ups are talking here... the kids can g...

"The battles are as epic as Chevy and Ford! Honda and Toyota! The Alliance and the Horde!"

So you love cars and watch She-Ra Princess of Power? 🤣 😎 Sorry it was just too funny not to reply.

I'm very glad AT&T is offering this promotion to prepaid customers who talk and text a LOT. It's perfect for the person who would rather not sign a contract and doesn't care about a good phone. For folks like myself I can't do without my Blackberry...

LOL 🤣

I was actually referring to World of Warcraft (which may be no better LoL)

Was there an Alliance and Horde in She-Ra??? LMAO! The funny thing is I used to play He-Man and She-ra with my friend down the street... what... 20+ years ago! And we were just talking about that a couple days ago!!!

Good times... Good times...

I know what you mean... I couldn't do it either also because I need my Blackberry... or Unlimited Data in general...

Yep the Horde were the bad guys in She-Ra led my Hordak(he was superior to Skeletor!) while She-ra led the resistance known as the Alliance. But now that you mention it, I haven't played WoW in a while.

The coverage is certainly beatable. Damn a flame war. It is just simple fact. Verizon's native coverage with what was Alltel is downright unfair. Plus one can get said coverage on Page Plus at an unbeatable price. $39.99 per month for Unlimited Talk and Text.

...I would have to 2nd this notion...I am a Page Plus customer...{ex-Tmobile customer} and I love the service...I've been out of town to visit family and it stills works...I haven't had an issue with roaming or dropped calls...And I am a Smartphone/PDA junkie like the next person...And that was one thing I thought I would have to sacrifice...But I didn't have to with Page Plus...I think it's what everyone who wants it all with out the excessively high monthly bill needs in their lives... 🙂

ATT Sucks. It is just that simple.

My buddy who lives in Tucson switched from Verizon to ATT so he could have the iphone. Now when talking to him there are many more dropped calls and garbled speach.

I recently flew to Tucson and we drove to Malta Montana. I had Verizon coverage when he had none and many more times I had 3G when he did not. He drove most of the time so I had my laptop teathered to my phone surfing the net. This really pissed him off.

I want the iphone but will not get one until verizon does. Having an iphone on att is like driving a porche on a dirt road.
