$60 should be the price of all carriers post pay Unlimited Voice and Messaging plan as well. Anyone with GV and My Favs, My Circle etc...could have it at this price point anyway.

This is a really great deal. Prepaid means no overages, no taxes and you can talk and text all you want for $2 a day. Great for kids or even for adults if data is not needed. A nice price point for unlimited which is much cheaper than a regular plan.

I wonder why prepaid customers get a better unlimited rate plan than post paid customers?!!?

If you read the fine print, you'll notice it's a $3 a day charge for days when used. If you truly need an unlimited plan and assuming 30 days in a month - That's $150. Just for Talk and Text - nevermind data.

With a regular plan the same service would cost you $120.

They're not getting a better deal. All prepaids are more expensive when you work them out, it's the cost you pay to not be under contract and avoid credit checks.

That plan already exists $3 per day. The link doesn't take me to anything but the GoPhone page without anything.

20 for unlimited txt?

How do we get $60?

In order to qualify the consumer must be on the $.25/min SIMPLE PLAN.

The UNLIMITED MINUTES/MESSAGING plan is a feature that be added on to the simple pan.

The UNLIMITED MINUTES/MESSAGING plan costs $60.00 per 30 day period. The amount is deducted from the airtime on your account. This feature expires every 30 days thus you must purchase airtime in the amount of $60.00 prior to the expiration date so that any other airtime balance you have can rollover.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT AT ALL TIMES YOU MUST HAVE A BALANCE OF $5.00 ON YOUR ACCOUNT. Because this plan is ACTUALLY a FEATURE, a balance of $5.00 is required to use this feature.

Customers who are activating service for the first time have many options available to the...

For those of us working for at&t and without information at all on this. I don't know how it will work: pay as you go OR pick your plan. Come on don't you think we would have heard something if it will be out in 3 days. Plus the link to att website is pretty useless.

That's pretty sad when those of us whether it's consumers like myself, or employees like you, that visit Phone Scoop daily know more about this stuff than the actuall people who work for the company.

Yes.

Having said that it should be said I work for an indirect retailer. I know that most sales ppl for att corp get information first from phonescoop, engadget, cnet ...etc. before they get information from the company itself. Persons above sales staff will get some information earlier though. It is sad that we aren't the first to know as we are going to be on the front lines when ish hits the fan.

He's probably actually referring to your s-video connection. A new laptop with HDMI would give you a much better picture.

But thats just a guess 🙂 I'm also curious to see how it works out.

I'll let you all know next Thursday when I get the service. I think WiWavelength was being nothing other than rude like a lot of people on Phone Scoop are. HDMI out on laptops is a very, very new feature.

I was not being rude, Jay, rather just observing the comedic obligation to poke fun at cheap, low brow culture.

So, be sure to watch some NASCAR, MMA, or reality show clips and some torrent pirated movies w/ your S-video set up.

The first three are, indeed, illustrations of low culture. The last is an example of an oxymoron.

ah, but the low-brow comes from people not seeing the oxymoron.

Not all that new as my 2 year old $600 laptop has an HDMI output. It was bought at best buy so it isn't like I had it custom built or anything. Some manufacturers were just a bit behind on the HDMI front.

Oh, lucky you. What make is your laptop? Mine is HP. I have no intentions of getting a new laptop anytime soon though. Cause I have some goals I'm working on. Besides it's good to wait, I've hear by this time next year laptops are going to be made with OLED screens.

Heck yeah, Hulu output via S-video and scaled to a 60 inch HDTV is going to look outstanding!

Seriously, Jay, S-video? What year is this, 1997?

How does your two year old laptop lack an HDMI compatible output??? My MacBook Pro has an HDMI compatible Mini DisplayPort. Heck, even my four year old PowerBook has an HDMI compatible DVI output.

So, duh, that is most likely why verizonmaster said that "you need a new laptop."

Ok the new plan hasn't started yet and it is not going to be 3 dollars a day, the plan you are referring to is already in existence. The new plan you will pay 60 dollars a month for unlimited talk and text, no access fees, no per day charge. And yes I do work for ATT.
