MetroPCS and Virgin Mobile USA Locked in Court Battle

...that when you buy one of Virgin's extremely cheap phones, it's yours to use however you want.
Still, though...if it's $40 to have it "metroFLASH'ed", it doesn't exactly seem worth it. Metro's got phones for $70 bucks.

...which is probably why they are not going after the consumers who purchased these cheap phones. They are going to make Metro expend some resources in the court system though. Win or lose it should make Metro think twice about targeting Virgin (or is that Sprint now?) customers in the future.
