greedy losers, your phones arent even all that and you're whining about them getting flashed to another network. why shouldn't people be allowed to flash the phones. ITS THEIR PROPERTY TO DO AS THEY SEE FIT. DAMN CORPORATE COMMUNISTS, if you wanna dictate what people can or can not do with phones then dont sell them...give them for free or rent them out 🤣

I don't think the issue is the "FLASHING" of a phone you claim as "Your Property". Thats not what they are pointing fingers at. The issue is that another company (MetroPCS) is advertising a service based around another providers phones (Virgin Mobile).

It is your phone to do as you please. This issue is not directed toward the consumer. The issue is directed toward the Business.

I think everyone here would agree, none of us would want another company offering services on our products without our consent.

MetroPCS is basically telling customers; "We know we don't have the best selection of phones on the market but fear not, if there is a Virgin Mobile Phone you like out there, get it and we will unlock so you can use it with us".

I don't know, I remember last year when people defended TMO for suing to stop people from buying multi PAYGO phones, unlocking then selling them as a profit. I see no difference, and in both cases, both TMO and VM are wrong.

I think Advertising MetroFLASH service and explaining it as a service that can take a Virgin Mobile Phone and unlock it for use on MetroPCS is different then buying phones, unlocking them and reselling them.

It all comes down to the Advertising that MetroPCS is doing. If they are in fact advertising Virgin Mobile phones (or the capability of unlocking Virgin Mobile phones) that is in fact a problem.

They could easily fix the problem by offer MetroFLASH service without mentioning Virgin Mobile. Just say its a service that helps you FLASH phones. Do not however, mentioned the fact that you can FLASH company X's phones.
