One thing I don't understand...

One thing I don't understand is these pos U.S. wireless carriers are always trying to push they're own stupid services, so I'm actually surprised ATT would carry a device that has a service that is supior to they're ATT Navigator.

Personally Google Maps is plenty fine for me, and it's
* free*.

Another thing, I'm curious why ATT is so willing to give a phone like this a shot that's so new to market, but yet ATT refuses to carry Nokia's best N Series handsets.

I had it when I had the BB Curve and I loved it. And it's free. Google is awesome!

And I hear you on AT&T's not carrying Nokia's N Series. Nokia's high end phones are very good. I just wish their low end phones were as good as they used to be...

Acttally speaking of Nokia's low end phones, my 1st cell phone was a Nokha 3390. But now I have the N95.

I used to have the Nokia 5185 series with the changeable faceplates back in the TDMA days. Then I siwtched to the Nokia 3560 which was the first TDMA color screen phone. It was a big deal then...

Then I had the 3595, 6010, 6200, 3120, 6030, 2610, and finally switched to other models. Now I have an unlocked Motorola L7i and this phone is solid and performs exceptionally well.

Maybe hoping for a new iPhone? I mean, taking on the iPhone was a big risk and it paid off...here is another "risk" they could be taking...

My thing is, the price tag is just nuts. $300 after rebate? What does this thing do that is so amazing?

Well, the price may be worth it if you don't have to subscribe for internet and navigation with at&t. If you get that free though Garmin it may be worth it.

That's for Nuvifone Premium Connected Services, which includes traffic updates, white pages, weather, movie, local events and fuel prices.

It's not for navigation.

Google Maps is cool, but using it while driving is touch. You have to constantly look at the screen. The turn by turn voice navigation would be something amazing for the program, but I guess that's what we have the paid navigation programs for...

One word why the device is $300...Garmin. Price their other products that do not allow you to text, have voice calls, surf the web...
