Free Vs. Paid Calls

GoogleVoice is a FREE VoIP type service. Since no one is paying for those calls, and its still technically in BETA, and premium charges to numbers AT&T is whining about COULD be charged at a later date, whats the problem?

AT&T surely isnt offering any free solutions or products like Google.

Lets also not forget that AT&T also blocks calls to 900, 976, 700, and other numbers as well...

So... whats the issue here?

Sad you can’t pick on VZW so you try to pick a fight with a little VOIP provider.
I guess if I just got MMS up and running on one of the best selling devices in the country I’d try to shift the spot light too.

Google Voice...IS. AND it's still in Beta. AND it is currently free. AT&T is afraid. I get free text messaging with Google Voice. Changed my plan with Verizon from Select to Basic and blocked messaging on all four of my lines. Net savings of $30 dollars for me. PLUS Call Screening. Bye bye annoying telemarketers. DEATH to anyone who tries to take Google Voice away from consumers!
