I can already figure that we will be receiving tons of calls tomorrow griping that their MMS hasn't been turned on. As the article says, late in the morning Pacific Time, which means early afternoon Central and Eastern time. Based on the "patience" of our normal iPhone user, that means Care will start getting calls right after midnight and the phone in the store will be ringing off the hook at 9:00 am Central with iPhone users b!tching that their phones won't MMS yet.

When a customer complains about their iPhone or even tells me they are interested to get an iPhone I love making this joke with them:

Here is what I do in front of my iPhone friends with my Blackberry. I install a third party app from a forum site with no problem. I can customize the entire look from a simple install. I can MMS, and have been able to for a while now. I use my camera and video camera (This applies to my 2G and 3G friends). I drop my phone in front of them and say no worry I have insurance on it. I remove my battery for no reason what so ever other than the fact I can. I type on my physical keyboard. If I don't like the base browser it came with I download a new browser. This list could go on but by this time they ...

Then they whip out their iPhone and remember the elegance and amazing functionality of 70000+ apps available at their fingertips and remember what it was like to be satisfied with a Blackberry. Before they knew what real joy was.....

I have had the Curve, the Storm, and most recently the Tour...I now have the iPhone and am very happy with it. Before you say anything I use the iPhone to check 4 different email addresses - 1 of which is my work email which is full push (2 way IMAP with exchange sync, not like the BB) and includes realtime sync of my contacts and calendar (also unlike the BB without BES). My email folders all come through my iPhone so they are fully organized and look just like my Outlook (unlike the BB). My web browsing...

touche' good sir.

While it's true the iphone may not do everything that some phones do, what it does excel in is the interface and design. It makes everything extremely easy to use for a broader audience.

70,000 apps, the is the lamest defense ever for your phone. Because out of that 70,000 apps how many versions of iBeer are there? There is maybe 20...30 apps tops that our worth a damn. Any important app you can get on your iPhone I can get on my Blackberry. On top of that some apps that our featured on both have more functionality on my Blackberry.

Slacker is available for both devices however on my Blackberry I can cache a station meaning I don't have to be in a wi-fi or mobile network to use it.

Also when I am on vacation I don't have to plan my vacation around when my battery will die, because I have a spare battery I can swap out.

For my multimedia needs I use my Zune HD, and for my internet needs I use my phone (when neede...
