Gosh can't people just drag n drop music onto they're Pre's? They HAVE to sync with stupid Itunes? Can't people just download songs from Itunes to they're PC, then drag n drop to they're Pre.

Of course not. It's a D!ck waiving contest started by palm, and it has turned into a "sword fight" in the boy's restroom in highschool. Palm trying to be the new big guy, apple defending it's title. Whole thing seems silly, but really, palm needs to just stop playing games and just do the same thing Blackberry does.

That's exactly what I have been saying. They make this pretty sweet device and tell folks it wills sync with iTunes, but Apple doesn't want that to happen. Your customers aren't going to be happy when all of a sudden, the phone doesn't do what you told them it would...
But to comment on the original post, you can drag and drop, but playlists that have been created can't be added or made through a drag and drop process...

there is some great software out there that will support syncing and playlists. the thing that really irritates me is i'm waiting for update 1.2 for this stupid crap, i wish palm would just release it and they can go back to worrying about their stupid itunes sync.

Yep! I always use the "drag & drop" method to transfer files. I never use iTunes. 😎
