So they will have LTE in AWS markets as confirmed by phonescoop BUT this phone is
still only dual mode. So it will not work
in AWS markets regardless.

Why do you say Vegas won't have LTE from Metro?

Because the phone is dual mode. It will not work in an AWS Metro market.

Phonescoop confirmed that LTE will be available in their AWS markets but it seems like they will be working with there PCS 1900MHZ markets first.

The Dual mode phone is concerning though.

Well I would think the more markets they have the LTE in, the more markets they can sell LTE equiped phones and services. So we'll see what happens, it'll be another 8 months or so before we know what LTE handset Metro launches with. I'm sure it'll be interesting.

I challenge you to a "duel," as you are woefully confused.

"Dual mode," as referenced in the news story, indicates LTE + CDMA1x devices. It has nothing to do w/ the CDMA1x 850/1900/2100+1700 "tri mode" or "tri band" devices that MetroPCS requires in its AWS 2100+1700 MHz markets.
