Old news. Rumours like this have been heard of in the past and did not come into frutition. The FCC would never approve this anyway and even if they would, it would be extremlely confusing and problematic and not in the best interest of the DT, Sprint-Nextel and the subscribers of both networks. So just settle down, pour yourslf a cup coffee, mow the lawn, walk the dog. Not gonna happen

Yeah, I can't imagine that happening either. This whole GSM/CDMA stuff would be too costly to sort out and so on. But then again some wireless carrier in Canada, I can't think of it's name right now, is switching from CDMA to GSM using the 1700 band. I think that name of the company is called Wind.

Only the hsdpa is being switched, but it would be nice if they did switch totally, another nail in the cdma coffin.
