Like I said before, Big Moves!

Way to go T-Mobile. Looking to make some big moves. I was told what Deutsche Telekom does in the UK does not effect T-Mobile USA, this new post however says different.

I never really thought about T-Mobile/Sprint & Nextel. This could go in any direction.

Can you imagine a MyTouch with PTT, Myfaves, Free-Incoming and Sprints new Mobile-to-Mobile? on Sprints 4G network with T-Mobiles customer service department.

I'm dreaming. Anyway, this is a very interesting bit of news. Without detail one can imagine infinite possibilities. Thanks for the news.

Government will not let T-Mobile buy Sprint. This merger is anti-competitive. Cable and Sprint merger more likely.

T-Mobile can buy more spectrum if they want to expand or merge with cable company. Government wants to auction off more spectrum. How about some European frequencies?

Next up --- Leap and MetroPCS will merge only to be sold to a cable company.

I hear you. However, you never really know what the FCC will and will not get involved with. Who would have thought the FCC would get involved in a APP for the Iphone?

So many things can go right or wrong with this. Even if they don't get it, I think they are at least considering Bigger Things for T-Mobile and that to me is rewarding in itself.

Yes. Investment in 3G network by T-Mobile is very exciting; now and in future.

Yeah I agree! GSM should rule the U.S., not CDMA!!! So anything Tmo can do to overtake Spring is a good thing.

If they buy it then they will probably have to sell some of it off like Verizon had to when they bought Altel.

i dont think it will happen.

why try to buy something that is way over your head vs buying the smaller companies that are more then oviously growing like cricket for example..

i think its just a ploy to make it seem like their big and bad...

because if that was the case,
if sprint is too expensive for tmobile to buy wouldnt that mean that sprint is more then eligible to start placing bets on tmobile.

how would this work out when one company is 2 steps ahead then the other. tmobile is still bare 3g and sprint is moving into wimax.

What better way to improve your data speeds then buy a network that is already upgraded. And its NOT T-mobile US that is thinking of buying Sprint its Deutsche Telekom, big difference. Deutsche Telekom has a lot more money because they are a world provider.

T-Mobile USA is owned 100% by Deutsche Telekom and that in itself can lead to regulatory problems if the try to buy Sprint.

so basically you're saying that a non us carrier will be providing sprint with service and will know what sprint needs and doesnt need you telling me they know first hand how are economy is, and the road its heading..

wouldnt that be like the queen of england trying to run this country all the way from across the world?

we all know how that worked out.
otherwise we wouldnt be celebrating independence day.

im just saying no body know what america needs or wants more then america. am i right?

Some of you may or may not be aware that Good Old Verizon Wireless is 50% owned by Vodafone [ a european telecom], and that Virgin Mobile is also European telecom [currently an mvno]. And next year I believe nttdocomo is coming here too. I am personally against anything cdma so if these guys can somehow covert the usa to all gsm it would be wonderful. Unfortunately I doubt that it will happen.

and whats the other 50% mmmm

and look at the rediculous prices verizon is offering then they charge more for a phone that has half the software...

im just saying.

ive had verizon and i wasnt impressed. the rep had told me i was paying 20 for unlimited text.. she failed to tell me it was IN text meaning to other verizon customers.

sprint charges 20 for unlimited text to anyone in the us. PLUS unlimited data.. PLUS unlimited sprint nav access.. PLUS sprint tv, and radio... PLUS nfl for compatible phones....

Im just saying
