I like where Metro's headed...

...they pick a major metro market in a major city in a given state, and work their way out from there. Florida began with coverage from the Keys to, oh, Jupiter on the east coast; now look at Florida's coverage map. And to top it off, their coverage is worthy enough to be considered an alternative to the major carriers.

Yeah, they've expanded pretty fast in a lot of areas of Michigan. They originally only had a network in Detroit and the immediate metro area, but now, they've expanded to almost every major Michigan urban area (aside from the northern ones). I would definitely say metro is a worthy adversary to T-Mobile here in Michigan, but not to the other carriers. Verizon, Alltel, Sprint, and AT&T cover way too much territory here in Michigan to be threatened by metro. But, they are a good start. Their coverage already is larger than T-Mobile's footprint and T-Mobile's been here for years.
