Nokia: Maemo Phones Will Be Ours, Not the Operators'
Verizon? Doubtful...

Well that pretty much seals the deal that we will never see such a phone on Verizon. Nokia has never made a great CDMA phone in any case. I applaud this attitude.
What are you talking about? The 3589i was great! ;)
Still, I can't help but think Nokia will be eating their words. I find it very hard to believe that even T-Mobile would sell a device without at least a little bit of their stink on it.
I'd actually wonder that if/when(?) T Mobile sells the N900, they'd sell it unlocked with a subsidy. Probably not, but it's a safe bet that their branding touch on the N900 will be light at best.
Btw, Japhy, that link you provided earlier for Maemo apps, are they all compatible with the N900? I can't wait for it to actually be out on the market, and start reading reviews, and watching YouTube vids of the phone in action.
I'm not too sure how I feel about how Nokia seems to mess up keyboard, and put the space bar to the right like that!!!
