hmmm I wonder if this has picture messaging and voice dial, also it says 150 euro, which to me makes it seem like its over seas, in which they dont really do contracts in the same fashion as we do in the states, so non contract 150? i really doubt the iphone is that cheap

At today's exchange rate, it would come to about $215. If that's full retail, then it's not bad.

Probably the only way I'd go all touch is if there were a slide-out keyboard and I had the choice between physical keyboard & virtual one. Cause sometimes the keys get stuck on the physical keypad and I have to press the same key multiple times. But on a phone that's all touch doesn't your screen get dirty all the time?

You know that Symbian is not Linux, right? Maemo is based on Linux, but Symbian is not.

Well, Nokia makes Maemo devices. Those are Linux. Right now they are just tablets, but rumor has it the first Nokia Maemo phone will be announced very soon.

That's unsubsidized. Subsidized, that pretty much means free.

I suspect that's unsubsidized, as its listing in Euros. Many European companies do not subsidize/require contracts. iPhone has a pricey 2 year commitment.

Iphone is subsidized, this phone isn't. For an unsubsidized price it's not a bad price at all.

From the full press release:
The recommended price of the Nokia 5230 with the Comes With Music service will be 259 EUR before subsidies and taxes.

But above that:
Competitively priced at 149 EUR...

So it's either a typo or they were talking about subsidy for the original 149 EUR...
