Am I insane, or is Verizon really pushing the fact that they have something all of us GSM carriers have had forever... Phones that work around the globe.

Maybe I am just a little crazy.

Maybe I'm just a die hard T-Mobile guy.

Verizon (and sprint) phones use CDMA technology, so as a default their phones will not work in popular destinations like Europe.

I won't get into the whole GSM V CDMA debate here, there is already a lot of info about that stuff.

With people traveling abroad more often, and not really for business. This is a good basic phone, that also gives the option of working overseas if they need it.

It's not really spin.. It's like if ATT came out with a phone that worked on EVDO. It's a technology they don't natively support, even if it is standard for most verizon phones. Kinda a Mac/Windows difference.
