Ummm..

Little confused here...

Qwest had their own network, sold it off to Sprint and Verizon or something. Then went to Sprint to use them to supply wireless service, that deal went REALLY bad really fast. Now they are with Verizon selling their services.

So Im a little confused. Is Qwest killing the Verizon deal only 1 year into it? Why bother to have even signed up to sell Verizon?

Qwest sucks, but I mean... Whats with all this switcheroonie?

Quest sold service under their own brand using Sprint's network. They broke off relations with Sprint and started selling service with VZW. Quest then told subscribers who have Quest-branded service to switch to another company or their service will be cancelled. Hope that clears up any confusion.

You've been on Phone Scoop a tad longer than me, but yet I almost never see you post.

I'm usually a lurker, but I comment when I can. I'm pretty knowledgeable in wireless, my previous jobs being with T-Mobile and Radio Shack.

Going way off topic, Jayshmay, I notice you keep talking about your Nokia N95 with AT&T and live in Vegas if I'm not mistaken. I was there on vacation 2 weeks ago with my iPhone 3G on AT&T and 3G services were hit or miss there, especially at the airport, but at least there was free WiFi there. Is that normal where you live?

I don't find myself at the airport all that often, but everywhere I go here 3G works fine, what about on the strip, did it work ok for you there? I go check out City Center pretty often 3G works fine for me there.

I never left the strip the weekend I was there, 3G worked fine. It was the airport that was most concerning. I tried several times to call back home before I was connected, I was showing full bars and 3G on my phone. It is not a big deal, but thought I would share that when I go back soon I won't have the same problem. I've only had AT&T for two months and it worked fine for me.
