That's goofy...TCF Bank open 7-Days a week. With drive thru service. I dont need an overpriced iphone service plan or an additional insurance payment all just for depositing a check. there are plenty of other free ways to do it that are just as easy. like get your fat ass up and drive to the bank 🤣

USAA - Is a military based organization.

Their insurance ( for me was 500 less every 6 months over gieco and 800 under progressive. renters insurance cost me 10 bucks a month for like 250,000 or something like that )

USAA bank is a great bank, i depoist at home, dont need an iphone to do that, the reason why its neat is because there are no physical banks but in like el paso texas. I deposit checks at home, i manage online, i have a credit card, auto + renters insurance, checking and savings account. Easy 1 stop shop for anything i need. But you have to be military or direct connection with someone in the military to get in. Say father, mother, son daughter if im not mistaken, it might have changed from that not sure. But a great comp...

What you don't seem to realize is that USAA serves only military members and some federal government employees. While they are in the top 20 of all banks in the US, they only have one physical location in San Antonio. The vast majority of their customers live all over the world...you can't just drive to the drive-thru.

This is a great option and might bring me to use them for more than insurance. They have gone out of their way to provide services that allow you to bank with them as easily as you can a local bank. This is greatly appreciated when you are sitting in a tent in Djibouti or a dorm room in South Korea.

I'm former military myself, but posters on here have no way of knowing this is a military bank. The article didn't mention that at all and otherwise how would they know unless they are or have been in the military.

That is why I posted what I did. I wanted to show that rather than just creating an app that makes Americans even lazier, there may be a valid buisness model behind the idea.
