$160 is a bit much!

I think $75 is more reasonable.

I think they need to stop making this crap altogether, cause anyone connecting to 3g on sprint is gonna hit that 5gb limit in a flash. And I don't really feel like dealing with their complaining over the phone. I hate cellular data services...

considering all that it does.. thats not a bad price. All major carriers have 5gb limit per month. Which is pretty hard to go over. I have Sprint and i use alot of data, but never go over or even worry about it.

not in my case, its on a monthly basis. have u sailed past it? im always online on my cell and i have a 3g internet card, i dont have to limit my internet access. I use it like i would any other service. no problems. If i ever go over ill be sure to post, but ive never had a problem personally. every carrier has a 5g limit tho.

Regular web browsing wouldn't do it, but I betcha if you watch a lot of video it would, or at least get close.

Wasn't it mentioned before that 4g didn't carry a cap? So you'd techinically be good to go if you were in a 4g area

First off, every carrier has a 5gb cap now, not just Sprint. Second and more importantly, this is more ideal for people using 4G, which has no data cap.

Clear Wire does not have a "data cap". The unlimited plan is unlimited. You are all confusing this with cellular data which WiMax is NOT. Sprint is really just a reseller of the Clear Wire service since Xohm is no more so they do not make the Terms and Conditions. WiMax should be compared to DSL or Cable internet which also do not have caps, not cellular data. Why would they sell a "Hotspot Creator" that can connect up to 32 computers, but have a 5GB cap? Now if you go and use up a terabyte of data in a month I would not be surprised if you get throttled down like Comcast and At&t do now.

Just to clarify though...even with a dual mode device (3G/4g), if you are using 3G service you will have the 5G cap. And if you are in 4G coverage it will be unlimited. Just like with the current 3G/4G broadband card, unless they change things. But you can go to sprint.com and look at the details for the 3G/4G broadband card and it will tell you.
