lol...I know.There will never be a FREE App store for Windows Mobile like there is for the iphone and blackberry....money is the root of all evil!!!

thats where your wrong. there are tons of free app stores for wm. freewarepocketpc.net has thousands of free apps. pocketpcgeeks.com windowsmobileexperts.com sprittouchdiamond.blogspot.com just to name a few. there literally hundreds if not thousands of free windows mobile app internet sites. alot more than there are iphone and blackberry. wm is actually late, most of their apps are free. windows saw how much money apple and bb were making so they decided to open their own.

I think he meant a program to go onto your WM phone to download programs directly. I dunno about you but I get confused quite often getting some of the programs off those sites. Half are .cab, some .exe, most don't seem to work..

Thank you!!! Finally someone understands me. The Handango download requires a payment, Windows mobile needs an On Device APP store, something that does not require an active sync just to get a theme...

i see, but i really dont have a problem with my wm phone. i can download them directly, i have freewarepocketpc in my favorites. all i do is click on it, browse the apps and i download it directly to my phone. The only thing that needs active sync or requires you to extract are rar files. exe files you can put directly on your phone as well as thats the actual program. i have a bunch of programs on my touch diamond that i got for free and downloaded directly to my phone no active sync necessary.

its pretty cool to add features to your phone that once werent there. i didnt like my keyboard, i downloaded a better one. i didnt like that my phone didnt have heptic feed back so i downloaded heptic feedback. i didnt like my os so i downloaded ...

I agree with techjunky's sentiments. There are many places to get WM software, many. I tried a iPhone for a week or so, looked at the much balihooed appstore, and thought, this is it? Just a huge amount of simple, silly, even trashy programs? I don't get it.
