Not only that, do these phones seem like junk to anyone else but me? They look like the gas station cell phones through weird providers, as far as quality of construction. I dunno, just my 2 cents.

These are for overseas.. so, yes, they are going to look like gas station phones.

The more choices everyone has, the more prices go down. Stop complaining like little girls. Unless you enjoy your monthly bill and upgrading every year because you dropped your iphone in a puddle of snails.

Believe me these phones do not have the same features of a Blackberry, if you do not believe me go to crackberry.com and check on all the customizing you can do to a blackberry.

Plus many places like Best Buy, and Wal-Mart sell the Pearl, and Curve for free. The only truly expensive Blackberries are the Bold and Storm.

blackberries are ok phones. but their not nearly as fun as a windows mobile phone. all the apps on my wm are free. check out freewarepocketpc.net has like over More than 6,700 free windows mobile games, tools and themes and thats just one site. Theres tons of other sites out there that have lots of free apps for wm as well.

Not everyone needs the monthly data expense of a blackberry, iphone, or pda phone. So if one can get this on the cheap, and use a regular data plan with their gsm carriers, its not all that bad. After saying this all, I do think the BB is a superior device.

The again, almost all these apps or most are available from most of the major carriers for free.

I also checked the spec's on the lesser of the two devices, it is tri-band gsm and euro-spec'd umts. If the full qwerty one is different, then fine. And as a previous poster said, choice is good and helps drive down cost.
