Like I said before...I really think someone in the FCC got screwed over by a cellphone company. Now that person has put things into effect to screw that company over....

If I understand this google voice app correctly. It will have a negative impact on at&t and apple. It would kinda be like walmart allowing target to set up a register in their store. How is this fair to Apple and especially at&t. If i'm not understanding this right please correct me.

Its not meant to be fair to Apple or AT&T. Its meant to be fair to the consumer.

When taxes was changed so that the rich had to pay more taxes...nobody (that wasnt rich) complained. Yet, that wasnt fair for the rich guy was it? So if it helps us as consumers in the long run...who gives a damn how the rich man feels about it?

I dont care if its fair to the business i want things to be fair to the consumer.

Your still talking about making it fair to the companies. Yes companies can make money. Its the manner in which they make money that is the concern.

Do you know what a Monopoly is? No, im not talking about the game. Thats a law that was put into effect to help us the consumer. Yet, that law HURTS businesses. Its same same concept here.

I say again, I DONT CARE how the company feels about it, if they make or lose money nor do I give a damn if it helps them. I only care about if it helps ME as a consumer.

Whether they make or lose money is irrelevant.

Dont get me wrong though... Im not saying I agree with this particular case. If Apple and At&T dont want... thats their call. Im speaking in a more broad term.

My question...and what should be yours, is:
"How is this going to benifit the consumer?"

You keep saying help the consumer, and stopping a monopoly. How is this helping stop a monopoly? You have the same ME mentality that you are hatting the companies you are talking about.

Your texting words out of context and your not readying it right. Not important though. My point simply was.... There is no reason to us (you) to stand up and defend the company in anyway. The company, is not standing up for you and saving you money.

Anyway.. day is over. Goodnight.

There are a lot of fan boys on Phone Scoop that are zombies brain washed by wireless carriers so much so that they forget about the common consumer.

Here is a very interesting, and spot on comment, made by a consumer not a fanboy!

How is this a monopoly? You don't HAVE to buy the iPhone. Monopolies happen when there is almost no other choice. Apple made a phone that has an store of developed applications. They need to protect their bottom line. If you don't like it then there is a vast array of phone choices as well as companies you can go for. Google's Android App Store has an open policy when it comes to apps and people could freely go to that instead. Apple doesn't have a monopoly unless they are the only phone selection for AT&T and they aren't.

The FCC is seriously bored and has nothing else to do...This is a non-issue.

The thing is, Apple approved other VOIP services like Skype into the App store. The investiagtion, I would presume, would take into account the reasons why said VOIP could be allowed and Google not be. Also even Skype only works on Wifi for calling.

This a direct result of the negative publicity AT&T and Apple are getting from other wireless networks that were too small or too stubborn to partner up and put out an exceptional product.
Verizon must have great lobbyists...lol

Google don't make phones.

Microsoft don't make computers, I don't think.

Dell don't make operating systems.

Dell makes a computer and Microsoft put its software OS on the computer and makes the software where only its programs are compatible and companies like Netscape takes a loss. Yall remember the lawsuit against Microsoft? it was something like that.

Its the samething. Apple has a store then they cant pick and choose what developers they want and don't want making it unfair to its competitors forcing google to take a loss.

apple would sue google if google's search engine google.com restricted apple iphone searches or if ebay refuse to sale apple products for no reason even though apple has their own stores its still not ...
