How about...
seatbelt laws? I am all for this cell phone ban as it endangers others. However, I am completely against seatbelt laws. I could completely require any of my passengers to wear one, but when I am alone, how is it the government's right to dictate what I do when it doesn't cause a dangerous situation for anyone other than myself? And recent research on seatbelt injuries even gives a little more reason for arguement on whether seatbelts actually save lives 100% of the time.

True, but its also true that without a seatbelt your body becomes a missile, personally, if your driving retarded and dont have a belt on i dont need your body coming through my windshield to kill people in my car that ive belted properly

Very good point, and I have seen it happen. I worked as a field cameraman for a local TV station, and people without seat belts killed other people in several of the wrecks we covered. The worst was an unrestrained baby that flew through his mothers windshield (she was buckled up). The baby hit 16 year old girl in the crosswalk and killed her, the baby survived but was permanently brain damaged.

Thats a sad story. 😢
Between sad stories like these and the BS the media attempts to make me swallow...I dont watch much News anymore. I keep up with current affairs to a extent..making my own judgment on what i see, read and hear.
The seatbelt law is also there to save me from a man slaughter charge when I smash the back of your car because you was sending a text and had to stop short because when you looked up traffic had stopped. I could be charged for man slaughter if I kill you because you didnt have a belt on. Hopefully you do and all I give you is a whiplash.....and a mean look.
