It's about time someone called out big Red and there false advertising.

You mean how ATT advertises as the "fastest" 3g network.. the fast speeds you can only get in one city, and from a network plagued by 3g stability issues?

Exactly, and every service provider's Terms of Service include the disclaimer "Service is not guaranteed at all times in any place, no provider can guarantee that". So, this arguement is moot. Verizon should not be able to claim what they do, though. ATT claims more bars in more places, bars don't necessarily mean reliable coverage, however.

Exactly, we see customers all the time who say

"I have full bars, but when I go to make a call, it says call failed or just doesn't go through. But I have FIVE bars!!"

All the bars AT&T guarantees, doesn't guarantee service at all.

Hahahaaaahaha,

You must be one of the jokers who bought a Motorola. Your grief is on your own head. now that you mention it, I see a great deal of similarities in Motorola's and AT&T's advertising.

I've also seen VzW's testing in action, and it's no joke. 6 to 8 cell phones, side by side in the back of a station wagon, all pulling data simultaneously. Or trying to, depending on the coverage.

"Best" is a fluid concept, and it will be unenforceable in court. Most reliable? VzW's stand will be easily proven.

I think what REALLY brought this on is that fact that AT&T/Cingular can't claim biggest anymore, after the VzW/Alltel merger.

They've got to whine about something.

at&t non reliable 3G network, dropped calls and poor reception is just a joke. They were better when it was cingular.

I've tried myself driving in the highway with tmobile, at&t, sprint, nextel and every single one of them drop my calls at some point in the highway....oh! and forget about staying connected when you are crossing a bridge in NYC cuz ur call will drop automatically!!!!
