So they rather waist money attacking Verizon...

...instead of using the money to improve their own slow antiquated HSPA 3.6Mbps network, which gives their customers something to look forward to each day: Drop Calls.

AT&T: "More Dropped Calls in More Places..AT&T your calls never delivered"

Verizon: "America's Most Reliable and Dependable 3G network. No Dropped calls to look forward to."

I completely agree with the above statement.. Verizon has a very reliable network, I do travel quite frequently due to my job, and everywhere I go I have good service. I don't have any problems with my calls or my internet.

That really depends on where you are traveling.

Remember, if you are going overseas verizon will lend you a global phone to use and they have partnerships with well over 100 countries. On top of that, if you buy a global verizon phone (say the new Tour) and contact verizon about traveling abroad they will give you the unlock codes so you can use a prepaid sim card in your phone.

So yes, you'll be able to use the "basic" ATT phone in more countries, but for most international travellers (who carry more than a basic phone anyway) ATT can't really claim the best international roaming anymore.

Actually, you have to have a quad-band AT&T phone or you won't be able to use your phone outside of...

I stand corrected.

the "more bars in more places globally" adds still confuse me though.

The roaming agreements arn't really that different (verizon is partially owned by Vodaphone, so that is a boon for people going to europe) but if you are going overseas for an extended time, your best bet is a prepay sim.

No. Most of the phones are not dual band. Start researching before typing.

I am getting close to going back to T-Mobile myself. Today, I dropped calls and could not access voicemail...ON A 2G NOKIA PHONE FOR PETE'S SAKE!

Verizon did not work for me, and AT&T is not working for me. I never ever ever should have left T-Mobile.

My first phone was Voicestream (that became tmobile) and I loved it.

Then I went to school out in the midwest and my phone turned into a fancy paperweight.

But where it worked it was wonderful.. I even had free roaming in canada, which I thought was flippin sweet at the time.

I'll never hate on Tmobile. They are a great company, and once their coverage improves they'll be really hard to sell against.

To clarify, what do you mean by once T-Mobile USA's "coverage improves"? T-Mobile is not likely to build out its national native footprint appreciably broader than it is now. Such is just the nature of T-Mobile's spectrum licenses & network.

They are actually doing quite a bit of expansion in PA. Granted, this isn't a lot for a national footprint, but it's going to open them up to a lot of new customers. Both my current store and my new store are in areas where Tmobile is targeting to expand their native footprint.

I know they're limited by their licenses, which is sad because they're actually a quality company.

Get a prepaid T-Mobile or try them out for their 14 day trial period (30 days in California).

I think T-Mobile has more Nokia phones then AT&T, so you would like them better I think.

Seriously...when at&t was airing those ads about "the fewer drop calls" crap lol and these more bar in more places its just funny. Unreliable 3G network and voice network its just a joke.

They should just invest money into their towers, back in the days when they were cingular the service was even better than what they have now.

Just a sign that AT&T is threatened by Verizon, otherwise they could care less. I've had both and I will honestly say, I'd had better service with Verizon when it comes to dropped call.

With AT&T my calls dropped at my home all the time, and they we're always quick to say "There is a tower right down the street from you".

I've never dropped over at my house with Verizon.
