AT&T Takes Verizon to Task Over Advertising
Sounds like a couple of spoiled little children
I'm almost ashamed to say that I work for VZW. Well, not really, at leat I know my phone works everywhere I go. 😉
Nationwide, ATT's eg footprint is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than verizon's. So while they may be faster, that is meaningless for a majority of people who don't have 3g coverage with ATT but they do with Verizon.
I'm not being opinionated, but I not the context of the news article.

So where in Ct does your cousin live?
I've been with AT&T for 7.5yrs.
It a matter of FACT. VZW claims to have a 3G network yet for all those customers using VZWs "3G" network... can you simultaneously be on a call and browse the web??? How about engage a Video Call??? Those are two examples of what a "TRUE" 3G network is capable of? VZW is 2.5G at best... Technically that is!

It's not like AT&T is sueing for money. They're taking the 3G claim to the FCC because VZW does not use a "TRUE" 3G network.
Since you spew your misinformation across multiple posts, I will correct you across multiple posts...
EV-DO is 3G. The ITU set the IMT-2000 standard, which defines 3G. IMT-2000 certifies both W-CDMA & EV-DO, among other airlinks, as 3G.
So, please sit down & shut up until you are more knowledgeable. Of course, if sales reps truly understood the technology they sell, then they would not be stuck as sales reps. They would be engineers.

I have a Nokia E71x /w AT&T.
I have great coverage in the 75-mile range of places I go.
I get 3g in every single place I go.
I don't drop calls.
My internet speeds are good.
And I have yet to find a dead spot, even on the back roads.
Please stop telling me what kind of signal I receive, because I am NOT on 2g.

Hmm.....once AGAIN, because apparently I have to reiterate myself several times to all the Verizon lovers.

Congratulations, you get to learn about the fallacy of composition: your AT&T 3G coverage experience implies nothing necessarily about the AT&T 3G coverage experiences of others or the AT&T 3G network as a whole.
In actuality, your experience is one data point, only one data point. And it stands against the bulk of available data, which sh...

Also, may I point out that AT&T only became 2nd place in customers when Verizon bought Alltel. If AT&T is this horrible, why is it that I don't know anyone on AT&T who complains constantly about their service, yet others I know that have Verizon don't get the same level of service?
