I like it in principal but... I think to get mass adoption you need to shorten to 18 months. They would be so close to upgrading that they might as well get another phone. I think the current gap is 12- 18 months when ppls phone miraculously drop calls and begin to suck.
...or.... how about a trade in value of like 50 - 100 bucks on used/old phones up to 18 months too or prior to upgrade eligibility if the phone isn't liquid/physical/lost, i.e. like normal warranty conditions.
