Dear PhoneScoop,
Please, you need to make the following correction: at T-Mobile retail locations we (that's right - "we") do not offer warranty replacements. At all. This is misleading to both your readers, and T-Mobile customers.
Thank you in advance.

Where do you get this from?
...
Actually it may not be misleading. At our last hands on meeting we talked about soon having warrenty replacement phones in store. I am in the KC East market so idk if its different for each market. They did inform us that we will be getting warrenty replacement phones in stores by end of 09 hopefully.

I'm on the east coast, and what we do, at least our market, is, for certain phones, have an in store warranty exchange system for almost 6 months, where you follow certain protocols (aka no water damage, physical damage, within warranty). Again, this is only in a limited market. Also, this is coming from the higher ups. Also, if you try to preorder it, I think it will give you this option to look through it. Not sure though, I haven't tried. I'm excited if we can do that. That gives us the ability to make the myTouch experience that much better for the customers. I say enjoy it, not regret it. Watch out for the customers interests and embrace situations where we help our customers. Period.

T-Mobile is running test markets in certain parts of the country now but you better believe this is gonna be rolled out nation-wide.
Anyone who looks under the "?" in POS can see that they have a whole section dedicated to in-store warranty exchanges....personally I think it's great for customers but will be horrible for reps and an inventory nightmare.

...for $29.99.
...
Yes, yes $29.99, two-year warranty -gosh, nobody is arguing that. My point is that warranty exchanges are not made at the store.
...
Well.... in test markets we do. It has not rolled out nationwide yet. If you check SAP while doing inventory you will see all the sku.
...
Correct, so PhoneScoop needs to point that out.
...
This information came straight from T-Mobile USA's head of marketing at a live event today in NYC.

What rock have you been living under? T-Mobile is activly trying to get us an instore replacement program. And just because WE dont do them now, doesnt mean we wont in august when the phone is released.
Did you ever even stop to think that they might be doing it for just this one phone? Putting more emphasis on how sweet a deal it is so it really can compete with the iphone and palm pre.
Dont post for corrections when you are not authorized to make them 😳
