The lack of responses to this thread reflects how irrelevant SE phones have become in the US. If only they would had given more effort to keep up with the US market by releasing high end/smartphones, or just more phones phones with american friendly MHz bands.

Not too late. They will make money off this project. Though i will agree with you by saying too little. Only way i can see this taking off the ground is if they gave away apps for at least 1 month free. Outside of that, i can see some loyal fans trying it out but in the end, this will not generate enough money to justifing keep up and will close.

My 2cents. For Ericsson's case, I hope im wrong. Even still....

With all of the SonyEricsson phones running Java, you don't really need a special "Ericsson" store. It's a bit weird that it's "Ericsson", not the SonyEricsson venture.

This doesn't really have anything to do with SonyEricsson phones. The Ericsson Apps Store does not necessarily need SonyEricsson phones, and SonyEricsson phones do not necessarily need the Ericsson Apps Store.
