No, what I really would like to know if this technology can be used in cars. The Chevy Volt due out in the Fall of 2010 is only practical because GM found a way to help dissipate the heat from the Lith-Ion battery pack used to power the car (we are all aware of our cell phone getting warm during a very long call - side effect of discharging any Li-Ion battery). Regular wet (Sulfuric lead acid) batteries we all have in our cars now do not have enough energy density to make the Volt practical, but the current Li-Ion battery technology was made barely practical for the Chevy Volt due to it heat dissipating system (Volt is the first practical purely electric car which has a gas motor to recharge the battery pack -- not to be confused with a hy...

I think this will have a ton of uses, including vehicles if the oil companies lay off and let things go. Automotive companies should be smart and buy out the patent, so they can license the patent to anything from cell phones, to MP3 Devices, Video game units and controllers (come on, that would be awesome, wireless controllers you only had to charge once a week!), laptops and hey, lets be even more creative... adult products. How often do we hear jokes about people running out of "batteries" for their... um... personal needs. :-P
