Verizon Wireless Captures HTC Ozone
50 after rebate?
I am concerned about VZW pricing. Walmart offers the curve for $20 or so. at Verizon Wireless it is 120 with a 70 (so 50), and that is after several months of price drops.
A smartphone launching at $50 would really surprise me because it's going to kill pricing on our high end dumbphones.

Who in their right mind buys electronics at Walmart?
I would if I could save money on the same item (and I'm not talking about a few dollar savings), not a big fan of Wally World, the place drives me nuts, but would go in get what I need and leave. Besides their return policies are better then other places.

I don't care about walmart pricing. They don't have agents they have to pay commission, and a couple of other factors make their phone prices what they are.
You don't have to work very hard to beat Walmart.
Their up-front prices may be low, but they have ways to make up for it. Walmart sells phones through Letstalk, who invented their own version of early termination fees (if the user modifies, say, the data plan they used to get a discount, their credit card suddenly gets charged the full amount). And their customer service is horrid:

I don't understand how people can still use that company after all the issues surrounding it.

Whom Walmart? I have to give them credit, they get 8 and 8 year olds working for 60-70hr per week! I can't get my teenagers off the coach!
If walmart actually uses "Let's Talk" to set up phones, then yes, I can't believe people buy phones from them either.
