Why does HTC give all of it's Android phone the Jay Leno chin?

PDXMatt --> long time sprintuser gone GSM years ago. I remember you from SU. Have you ever looked back? I went with the iPhone in Sept 2008 and have not looked back...

Nope. After the mess with Sprint customer service and switching to T-Mobile in 2004 that was it for me. I found great customer care and the ability to use unlocked phones. That is what is important to me. I have no desire to ever go back to Sprint.

While I'm not a big fan of the "Jay Leno chin" on the HTC Android phones, I think it's a good marketing strategy on their part. Intentional or not, consumers can go into a store and easily distinguish Android devices from the slew of other smart phones on display.
