CDMA is DEAD

...or should be. Actually.. rumour has it that Sprint's CDMA network needs to be upgraded fast, or the 2 keycodes will collide and kill the whole network. -- I don't know if its true, some guy who work for Samsung USA network development told me that.

CDMA is far from dead - in fact, it's thriving with Sprint and Verizon - and winning the 3G race at the moment with EV-DO.

Nothing wrong with GSM, of course, but CDMA is doing just fine.

The issue with Sprint and Verizon's networks needing upgrades is true, although there is no risk of it "killing the whole network". It is urgent, though. We covered it in-depth in this article a few weeks ago:
