How is this incredible.

Have you taken a closer look at the rates.

You have to pay $60/month for 5GB of USA Data and and extra $70/month for only 100MB of International Data. Last time I checked 100MB is only 10% of 1GB and we are paying more for international data then we are for USA data. Now if they offered the same plan of 5GB USA and 5GB of international for $130 a month then someone that does a lot of overseas travel and needs to stay connected would benefit but I gurantee that verizon is only doing this to encourage people to use data overseas so that 100MB will run out quickly and verizon can hit the customer with legitimate overage charges.

Come on people open your eyes and see the light!

Corepreacher is right...it's a freakin rip off..why not make it just unlimited in the USA and raise the international to 5GB since you're paying those astronomically high prices anyways. These companies kill me with how they run themselves. Such greedy people. Besides, I had verizon wireless internet, It's not all that it's cracked up to be. It's actually pretty crappy and overpriced. Like the whole network... 🤣

well when u go internationally u dont use at&t or verizon. u use orange, vodafone etc. and verizon barely has contracts with them so id go with at&t. better coverage and same plans. i work for at&t international so u can take my word for it when i say go with at&t. unless u dont want internet...

So At&t has better contacts with Vodaphone than Verizon Wireless which is partly owned by Vodaphone huh? That is the dumbest thing I have heard all day.

Ok...so let me get this straight. At&t has a device that can use the signal provided in foreign countries by companies like Orange and Vodaphone and Verizon has a device that can do the same thing.........but the At&t model provides better coverage. Once again...that makes no sense whatsoever. At&t does not use different towers or anything else differently in other countries. They have no network over there...nor do they control the networks of those other companies...thusly the coverage area is going to be...let's say it together...the exact same! Try again.

ok well like i said i work for them and verizon doesnt have as many contracts with carriers in different countries like at&t does. if verizon had the same service then y do i get calls all the time about people going to at&t from verizon due to coverage issues. ud see my point if u worked in a company like i do dealing with international all the time.

Which is cool if you have a card like this, but not if you're rocking one of Verizon's devices that are only setup for CDMA/EVDO.

Well, I do quite a few international setups for grand ol' VZW (military community), and I have to say, having the largest mobile community on the planet as a parent/partner is a perk. I haven't had one complaint yet. Now, granted, I haven't been with VZW for long (came over from Alltel as part of the merger, but been in the industry for 10+ years), but I did do a ton of international setups for Alltel, and more with TMO when I cranked out devices for them a few years ago. I've done the same thing for years, requested an email of ANY issue the customer experiences while overseas, due to calls being higher priced.

All I've ever recieved is messages of complete satisfaction. I think your "facts" should be properly labled as bluster. You...

im not hating on verizon im just saying i have alot of calls with people saying they had no service in certain countries but at&t does. i might be going to verizon at the end of my term so i wouldnt hate a company i planned on being a part of.

on the data plans i say it is too pricy for me imo but im not a business person needing alot of emails and whatnot.

You get the calls because VZW has not marketed the service until recently. Because it was not advertised people just assumed that the service did not exist.

Now go back to work in your out-sourced call center.. You have calls in queue wanting to cancel their lines...

WRONG.

Verizon DOES have contracts with all the major networks. Verizon will even Unlock your phone for free so you can change the SIM card in it.

i see where some of you guys are saying that its unreasonable that in the usa you get 5gb and internationally only 100 or 200mb, to take a quick side note, i dont know if everyone here is technically inclined or not but in the usa, verizons network is cdma and at&t is gsm which are completely different kinds of network, and in the usa both companies have unlimited data but is capped at 5gb, now best to my understanding people in other countries all use gsm there are a few cdma carriers, but back to the gsm ones, is that they get charged for every so many mb or kb that they use data wise which is why for example the web browser opera mini is well known in other countries cause it helps minimizes data traffic and it keeps a data connection ope...

What are you retarded? Congrats big Red for getting something AT&T has had for a year now (GSM, Global, laptop card) and $150 for the card AFTER REBATE???? Get the same thing, works in ALL of the same places, for FREE. I am sure you can get the same thing on every other carrier for free too, well except Sprint since they typically dont put GSM chips in their devices.

Also, want to say congrats to VZW for realzing that GSM is the way to go since 90% of mobile users are already on that technology.

Regardless of what the rest of the world does with GSM, AT&T has crappy service in the US when compared to Verizon. AT&T will be reduced to a second rate player even further when the CDMA iphone comes out.

Your mileage may vary. Where I live, AT&T clearly has the best coverage (Florida). I'm not saying that's necessarily true in all of Florida, but Verizon Wireless does not have a 100% guarantee that your phone will always have service. In some areas, people claim Sprint actually has the best coverage. It should all be about picking a carrier that works for you, not bashing the carriers that you don't have, unless you want to have a monopoly where you have two choices: the overpriced car...

The CDMA iphone is only speculation, but logical speculation.

Actually AT&T has better coverage in my home than Verizon. However, I travel so much around the country that the CDMA phone works better for me overall.

Are you kidding?

Show me a carrier that does guarantee 100% coverage... Since Verizon does not. Please post a link to their site so we can all port over and finally put this argument to a rest...

I agree. My personal experience with Verizon Wireless has been that it has terrible coverage when you compare it to AT&T's coverage. But I haven't traveled all nooks and crannies of the country, either, so I assume there are many areas where the opposite is true. I've also heard that Sprint has the best coverage in some places, which just because it's not the case where I am, that doesn't mean it is like that everywhere else.

Point being: your mileage may vary. The coverage from a carrier can vary from sta...
