It has to do with the fact that when everyone received their iPhones way back when, AT&T put into the system for the MMS to be disabled or whatever because the phone was not capable of doing so. Now that it's able to do so, AT&T has to go through all iPhone user accounts and change it to allow for MMS. So I don't know how it can take all summer, but apparently that's what they're telling us.
