if you don't mind me asking what is it you like most about winmo? most people I know that use the iPhone/G1 and blackberry's all have used winmo and have been more than happy after they switch, the only people I know that are fulfilled with their winmo devices are modders who like downloading hacks for it.

Whats wrong with that? I want a phone that I can customize the way I want it. Im still adding things to my Blackjack 2. I like to call it "Blackjack 2 3GSXS"

it has 3G
it has video
it has tethering
it has mms
it has GPS
it has cut and paste
it has a tons of games and apps
it can be customized
it has windows
it has bluetooth 2.0 A2DP
it does not have touch screen
it does not have accellerometer
it does not have wifi

But the best thing of all is it has so much, I am actually satisfied in its abilities that I dont feel like I HAVE to buy a new phone because it lacks things that it should have came with.

The next time I buy a new phone will be because I want a WM that has touch screen and wifi. It wont be because some...

People decide what features to get when they buy their phones. There were WM phones available that had touch screens and wifi when you bought your Blackjack. But you chose that phone because it had the right mix of features and price point for you at that time. The ease of use and the integration afforded by the iPhone overwhelmingly outweighed my inability to receive pictures.

I'm sure you are excited about the upcoming WM 6.5 and the features it will bring just as I was excited to see the new features for the iPhone.

Why not WM you ask? No one is saying that WM is not a capable OS. It works just like the desktop OS...you can do a lot with it, but its a pain to use. The iPhone is just an easier device to use. Things just work as th...

I like the Iphone because thats just what it is a phone. Its not a smartphone and I think that AT&T is wrong to force a smartphone dataplan.

There is no insecurities about WM but I dont like to see people taken advantage of and APPLE and AT&T are doing just that and you all dont realize it.

what makes it a non-smartphone?

it has-
full turn-by-turn directions (with auto orientation)
Copy,cut, paste
the ability to edit word, excel & powerpoint
sync with several different calendars and contact lists
a2dp

the list goes on and on

it uses 66% of the mobile internet in the USA that alone should be reason to charge more than a standard phone

Alot of those things are on other non smart phones.

I agree that their internet is top notch but I am satisfied with Opera Mini and other browsers.

First off you didn't answer the question, secondly opera mini is garbage compared to Safari's ability to render pages and use of multi touch. If you think $30 is to expensive for a data package for any PDA then say that but don't bring a knife to a gunfight by saying opera (on any phone) can compare to the safari browser on the iPhone!

Where did i say that iphones browser wasnt the best. it is the best, but i am satisfied with what I have. I have yet to find a page that i cant access. Im on my phone now. I REFUSE TO TAKE AN EXCELLENT BROWSER IF IT MEANS I LOSE ALL CONTROL OF MY PHONE OR NOT HAVE FEATURES THAT SHOULD BE AUTOMATICLY INCLUDED.

How are Apple and AT&T taking advantage of people? the only thing I've seen since Apple launched the iPhone is more sales numbers increased for apple and the use of the iPhone is allot more easier than that of the operating system WM. Even Microsoft who cant get there Vista right and now are having to launch Windows 7 🤣 admitted in a conference call that Apple has made the cel manufactures take notice. Have you used an iPhone, for month? have you seen the capabilities that it brings? Can you sync all your contacts, address book, files from your PC to your phone? or even photos with out having to use a USB port?
By the way saying that you've down load tons of apps is not the same as being able to shop for over 50,000 apps on the iTunes...

How are Apple and AT&T taking advantage of people?
Hmm selling a phone and holding out on features that they know you want so you will buy the next version. AT&T forcing you to have a Iphone plan if you want data?
I am on a WM phone and I have used Media Max for years. I will admit that Apple made the industry open their eyes.

Have you used an iPhone, for month? have you seen the capabilities that it brings?
Its a toy and I have played with it. I love playing with it but I need something that does more.

Can you sync all your contacts, address book, files from your PC to your phone? or even photos with out having to use a USB port?
Actually yes I can do all of that wireless. I can do it through bluetooth or usin...

I've owned two WinMo phones running 5.0.

Honestly, you're lucky if you can make it through a day without having to manually reset the phone because the phone app crashed.

The web browsers are all anemic. Skyfire is ok, but Opera bogged down.

It had tethering, but that only worked until the phone crashed. It can be customized, but twice a month I had to take the phone in because it wouldn't work, and Sprint wouldn't support it if I had ANY 3rd party applications.

The UI sucks.

HTC's bluetooth/WiFi management utility would crash frequently.

Did I mention the crashes?

It was slow.

I once tried to listen to a song navigating the clunky, krappy interface for Windows Media player and check my email at the same time. Big ...

I have a WM 6.1 HTC touch and i own a Apple Touch, no my WM phone has yet to crash! yes i can sync all my contacts, emails everything from my Vista machine. Would I buy an Iphone , I would but I will not go back to Rogers. I get UNLIMITED data, yes UNLIMITED for $5.00 a month from Bell, sure I have to use a hotmail account but as I say UNLIMITED, I download MP3's to my phone! Sure the Iphone has a better browser, but for the extra $30 bucks they want a month I can live with WM.
