When T-mobile first introduced the Sidekick and every celebrity in the world was showing it off, you HAD to be a t-mobile customer to have one. Now that another huge phone has come into the picture everybody thats not with att is crying. Get over it!

This is utter BS. if this passes then its all over for alot of exclusive rights...no longer can stores in the mall pay extra to keep a competitor out, no longer can a video game titles be exclusive to one console. or a feature exclusive to one car maker. theres nothign wrong with it. and hell you can still buy the phone unlocked if thats the case then its unfair to have cdma and gsm since some of us can't get the phone we want base doff of that...****ing retarded. Write your congressman on thisn one kids, its wrong, and they know it.

Logical fallacies run strong with you.

You do realize with your above statement you are actively arguing against competition - one of the basic tenants of our economy.

Do you also support the acquisition of patents for no other reason than to prevent innovation and competition as well?

Down with software patents!

No more must a HAND GESTURE be illegal to program into a system because someone else thought it up first!

Competition does not mean a guaranteed level playing field. In fact, the purpose of competition is to beat your opponent. That means trying to get an edge over them and out do them. That's what competition really is.

Even so, since all providers have exclusive agreements on some phones with one or more manufacturer, how is this not competitive? They take a flyer on what phone they think will lure customers away from other providers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

how is that against competition? If a competitor really wants in that mall they can pay more and get in or locate themselves some place else. alls fair in business. the senate is trying to ruin business's with this bullshit. they are just pissed becuase they can't get the phone they want it has nothing to do with sutumor choice.
